*Duke & Streisand Collaborate on Iconic Oscar Design for the 82nd Academy Awards*
Academy Award Winning, Barbra Streisand presented the Oscar for Best Director to the first female director ever to win this award ; Kathyrn Bigelow for directing The Hurt Locker at the 82nd Academy Awards on Sunday March 7, 2010 while wearing a haute couture tuxedo by Randolph Duke. Duke who has designed for Streisand before, including a recent concert tour and her Oscar appearance in 2003, spent time with Streisand over the last few weeks collaborating on an iconic and most memorable design for this very historic moment in cinema. The couture tuxedo was inspired by menswear and feminized with a hand beaded blouse made of Victorian lace from Barbra’s personal collection.
