FASHION’S NIGHT OUT, SEPTEMBER 10, 2010, OPENS WITH MAYORAL APPEARANCE AT 5:00 P.M FOLLOWED BY MULTIPLE FASHION SHOWS AND MUCH MORE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
BEVERLY CENTER – THE FNO LOS ANGELES CENTRAL HUB TO SHOWCASE 100% STORE PARTICIPATION WITH THREE FASHION SHOWS, CELEBRITY APPEARANCES, FREE PARKING, FREE EVENT T-SHIRTS, ENTERTAINMENT, LIVE FASHION, COSTUME DESIGNS, AND CUSTOM SHOE INSTALLATIONS
Los Angeles, Calif., (August 24, 2010) The Mayor’s Office of Economic and Business Policy to brings FASHION’S NIGHT OUT to the city of Los Angeles and its inhabitants/fashionistas. The event makes its West Coast debut on September 10, 2010 where Beverly Center will serve as the central hub for a citywide evening of festivities. The Honorable Mayor of Los Angeles, Antonio Villaraigosa, esteemed West Coast Editor of VOGUE, Lisa Love, Designer Randolph Duke, and pro-skateboarder and reality TV star Rob Dyrdek (MTV’s “Fantasy Factory) will be present at a commencement press conference beginning at 5:00 p.m. Other city officials, celebrities, music stars, and fashion figures will be announced at a later date. “Fashion’s Night Out” (FNO) will showcase Los Angeles’ emerging fashion industry that is a crucial economic engine for our city generating $5.7 billion in sales every year. The event will also showcase the creative talent —— behind the 5,000 fashion lines located here – who are constantly inventing fresh, new ways to express the diversity and culture of our great city through their designs,” says Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa. Following the Mayor’s kick off at 5:00 p.m., Beverly Center’s Center Court on Level Six will be transformed into a dual runway/catwalk showcasing Fall/Winter Fashion from Bebe, Bloomingdale’s, Macy’s, Forever 21, J. Lindberg, Max & Co., Ben Sherman, Guess, Traffic, Politix, Steve Madden, and
more at 5:30 p.m. and then again at 7:30 p.m. A third fashion show, “Denim Rocks,” is offered at 6:30 p.m. at Macy’s. On Level Eight, purchased shoes can be customized free of charge by LAX Creative Agency. DJ Michael Smith will be spinning all night for the shoppers and guests.
Beverly Center’s 160 retail stores will also partake in the event, offering in-store celebrity personal appearances, special promotions, gift bags, shopper incentives, music and more. A few highlights are listed below; please go to www.beverlycenter.com/events for full list.
• Charles David, local California designer, will be making a personal in-store appearance and shoe
signing.
•Club Monaco will be offering shoppers an elegant experience with champagne, dessert, and more.
•Everything but Water will have live models showcasing the hot new resort looks; shoppers will receive
a special gift with purchase.
•Fendi will be displaying a photo exhibit from their fall ad campaign shot by renowned fashion
designer Karl Lagerfeld, and will be selling limited edition Fendi apparel and accessories.
•Henri Bendel will be offering limited editions products, as well as, an official NYC FNO t-shirt with
Swarovski crystals.
•Lacoste will be holding a Wii tennis tournament with special prizes for winners.
•Sony Style will be presenting an exclusive Byron Lars look book collection, shot with Sony NEXS in 3D
TVs.

Center-wide, the first 100 shoppers will receive a Fashion’s Night Out T-shirt, designed by Marc Blaskovits, a graphic design student of L.A.’s Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM), which features a picturesque image of the iconic downtown Los Angeles skyline. Self-parking for the event will be available free of charge at Beverly Center from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Free DASH buses will also be provided to transport shoppers from other locations around the city participating in the event to Beverly Center. Integrated Transportation Services (ITS) is the
preferred livery service for the evening.
Fashion’s Night Out is an unprecedented global initiative started in 2009 to celebrate fashion, restore consumer confidence, and put the fun back in shopping.
